If you suffered damage in a traffic accident and the vehicle responsible was insured by a company in liquidation, you still have a legal path to compensation. Under certain conditions, the Insurance Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH may be held financially liable, even though it is a subsidiary debtor.

The injured party must:
• file the claim in the insurer’s liquidation procedure,
• have the claim recognized or legally confirmed,
• prove that compensation cannot be obtained through liquidation.
